1. Who We Are

True North Renovations ("True North," "we," "us," or "our") is a design-build home renovation and home care company serving Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, and the surrounding Treasure Valley. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through trunorthreno.com and our related forms, calls, and text messages (collectively, the "Site" or "Services"), how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the Site or submitting information to us, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three general ways:

  • Information you give us directly. Your name, email address, phone number, mailing or project address, and any project details, photos, or messages you submit through our quote request, contact, home value quiz, or text sign-up forms, or share with us by phone or email.
  • Information collected automatically. When you browse the Site, we (and our service providers) may automatically collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time on page, referring website, and general location derived from your IP address, typically through cookies and similar analytics technologies.
  • Text messaging (SMS) information. If you opt in to receive texts from us, we collect your mobile number, the category of consent you gave (general account/service messages, marketing messages, or both), and the date and method of your opt-in, as described further in Section 4.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to quote requests, schedule consultations and site visits, and prepare estimates;
  • Communicate with you about an active or prospective project, including appointment reminders and crew arrival windows;
  • Maintain internal business, accounting, and project records;
  • Send marketing emails or text messages, but only if you have separately opted in to receive them;
  • Analyze and improve the performance, content, and usability of the Site; and
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

4. Text Messaging (SMS) Program

If you sign up for text updates through our Text Sign-Up page or another opt-in point on the Site, you may receive one or both categories of messages, depending on what you agree to:

  • General / account messages — appointment reminders, crew arrival windows, and project status updates tied to a job you have with us.
  • Marketing messages — occasional promotions, seasonal offers, or company news, sent only if you check the separate marketing consent box.

Message frequency varies by project and by which categories you opt into. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you can request assistance by replying HELP. Consenting to receive texts is never a condition of purchasing any product or service from us.

Mobile information and SMS consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Cookies & Analytics

Like most business websites, we use cookies and similar technologies (such as web analytics tags) to understand how visitors use the Site and to keep it functioning properly. These may include essential cookies needed for core site features and analytics cookies that help us see aggregate, non-identifying trends in traffic and behavior. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings; doing so may affect how some parts of the Site function.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. With vendors who host our website, send email or text communications, process payments, or otherwise support our operations, under obligations to protect your information and use it only to perform services for us.
  • Subcontractors and trade partners. With licensed subcontractors or suppliers directly involved in estimating or completing your project, limited to what's needed to do that work.
  • Legal and safety reasons. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of True North Renovations, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, subject to standard confidentiality practices.

As described in Section 4, mobile opt-in and SMS consent data is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy — including to service an active project, maintain financial and warranty records, and comply with legal, accounting, or licensing obligations — after which we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

8. Your Choices & Rights

You have choices about the information you share with us:

  • Marketing opt-out. Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message, or reply STOP to opt out of marketing texts.
  • Access, correction, or deletion. You may ask us to provide, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details in Section 13.
  • Cookie controls. Adjust or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time.

We will make a good-faith effort to honor reasonable requests regardless of your state of residence, subject to legal, contractual, or operational limits (for example, records we're required to keep for warranty or licensing purposes).

9. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults seeking home renovation and home care services and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information you share with us online.

The Site may link to third-party websites, such as review platforms or social media pages, that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy practices separately.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. We'll revise the "Last Updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
